Memory 29 June
The life of St. Kaikhosro the Georgian has been transmitted to our era through the writings of Archbishop Timote (Gabashvili), a renowned Church figure and historian of the 18th century.
In one of his passages describing the frescoes and commemoration books of the Holy Cross Monastery in Jerusalem, Bishop Timote mentions that the sacred frescoes include an image of St. Kaikhosro the Georgian.
According to the commemoration books of the Holy Cross Monastery, St. Kaikhosro the Georgian endured a martyr’s death in 1612, having been tortured to his demise by Shah Abbas I due to his devout veneration of holy icons.
O Holy Martyr Kaikhosro, protector of all that is good and guide to those who seek your intercession, pray to God for us!
