On this day, October 12 according to the Julian Calendar (October 25 civil calendar), the Georgian Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Martyr Domnica.
The holy martyr Domnica suffered for Christ in the city of Anazarbus in Cilicia in the year 286. By order of the governor Lysias, the executioners tortured her cruelly. At last the handmaid of Christ was cast into prison, where she reposed at the age of sixty-four.
