Holy Hierarchs Peter, Alexis, Jonah, Philip and Hermogenes, Wonderworkers of Moscow and All Russia — October 5 / October 18 (Julian Calendar)

On this day, October 5 according to the Julian Calendar (October 18 civil calendar), the Georgian Orthodox Church commemorates Holy Hierarchs Peter, Alexis, Jonah, Philip and Hermogenes, Wonderworkers of Moscow and All Russia.

The common day of commemoration of the hierarchs of All Russia—Peter, Alexis and Jonah—was established by Patriarch Job on October 5 in the late sixteenth century. In 1875 Metropolitan Philip was added to their number, and in 1913 Patriarch Hermogenes.
