Righteous Hezekiah (721–691 BC) was the son of Ahaz, the impious king of Judah. He ascended the throne at the age of twenty-five and reigned in Jerusalem for twenty-nine years. His life is described in the Bible (2 Kings 18–20; 4 Kingdoms in the Septuagint).
