On this day, June 16 according to the Julian Calendar (June 29 civil calendar), the Georgian Orthodox Church commemorates Holy Father Kaikhosro the Georgian.
Holy Father Kaikhosro the Georgian (+1612) was a pious Georgian Christian who lived during a period of great suffering for the Georgian people under Persian and Ottoman invasions.
He devoted his life to prayer, fasting, and service to the Church, bearing witness to the Orthodox faith in the face of persecution. His holy life, marked by humility and steadfast piety, won him great veneration among the Georgian faithful.
Father Kaikhosro reposed in 1612 and was numbered among the saints of the Georgian Orthodox Church. He is commemorated as a confessor and righteous man whose intercessions are sought by the faithful in times of trial.
May the intercessions of Holy Father Kaikhosro the Georgian be with us all.
